The 26th of July we had a devastating fire on Kythira that destroyed at least 1/3 of the islands nature.

We have lost everything in this fire, all our equipment, storage, machinery and transport.

The fire came up onto the wall of our house and even closer to the pens of the animals.

Sadly the animals that where free to go where they wanted, we have lost, we lost about 90 animals in this fire.

We are very happy that most cats found their way back to us but also very sad about the losses we had.

Officially we are still waiting for someone to come and register the damage but we have lost all hope that this is gonna happen so we are starting to rebuild on our own.
